HEADSHOT

Private Haematology Services

Specialist assessment, investigation and ongoing management for a wide range of haematological conditions.

Anaemia & Iron Deficiency

Investigation and treatment of low haemoglobin, iron deficiency and related deficiencies.

Dr Qureshi can investigate both acute and chronic anaemia and identify possible deficiencies contributing to abnormal blood results.

Abnormal Blood Counts

Specialist investigation when a routine blood test produces unexpected results.

An abnormal full blood count does not necessarily mean there is a serious underlying condition, but persistent abnormalities may benefit from specialist assessment.

Myeloproliferative & Myeloid Disorders

Specialist investigation and management of disorders affecting blood cell production.

Dr Qureshi has particular expertise in myeloid disorders and is the regional myeloid lead for Coventry and Warwickshire.

MGUS & Abnormal Myeloma Screens

Assessment and monitoring following an abnormal protein or myeloma blood test.

Patients may be referred after an unexpected result on a myeloma screen or identification of a monoclonal protein.

Lymphocyte & Lymphoma Monitoring

Assessment of abnormal lymphocyte results and selected stable lymphoproliferative conditions.

Dr Qureshi’s published practice includes investigation of raised lymphocyte counts and surveillance of selected stable conditions including CLL and low-grade non-Hodgkin lymphomas.

Clotting & Bleeding Problems

Initial specialist assessment of unexplained bleeding or abnormal clotting results.

This may include assessment of:

  • Easy bruising
  • Unexpected bleeding
  • Abnormal clotting screens
  • Bleeding tendencies
  • Pre-operative clotting concerns
